An adventure-tourism operator specialized in rafting — offering corporate team activities, overnight camping and river experiences — saw its activity affected by the sociopolitical situation of its country. This is the technical use case of the improvements implemented in its booking and client-acquisition system.
The business depends on online bookings for tourism and corporate recreation activities: groups looking for team activities, tourists doing rafting with overnight camping. The country's sociopolitical instability reduced customer flow, and the existing booking system generated neither new contacts nor loyalty from past participants on its own.
We improved the online booking system and added an interactive game module: a rafting boat going down the river, where participants earn points and unlock promotions as they progress. Signing up for the game captures new leads, improves the page's SEO, and gives users a concrete reason to come back. The resulting promotions (10%, 20% and 30% discounts) act as direct conversion incentives.
The new booking system combined with the loyalty game reactivated the business: more leads captured through the game, more repeat customers thanks to the promotions, and better page ranking in a context where every new customer matters.
