E-invoicing, one month in: a quarter of companies have not yet named their platform
TPE Actu's first review, published on 10 October 2026: volumes beat expectations, but small businesses lag.
According to TPE Actu (10 October 2026), more than 20 million invoices worth over 70 billion euros have been exchanged since 1 September 2026. As of 4 October, 75% of VAT-reporting companies had named a receiving platform, so roughly a quarter had not. The government says there will be no penalties before the end of 2026.
Professional bodies point to concrete problems: platform costs, software integration and status tracking between systems. The article notes that the real effect on payment terms has not yet been measured. Next milestone: 1 September 2027, when SMEs and micro-businesses must also issue e-invoices.
For AppH
- For an agency that bills its domiciled clients, the assistant can remind the front desk to ask for the client's receiving platform and note their SIREN in the file.
- A human stays in control: AppH does not pick a platform for the agency or issue invoices; the agency approves every message that goes out.
Against / the honest limit
- AppH is neither an approved platform nor invoicing software: it helps prepare files and follow reminders, nothing more.
- The 75% figure comes from a press review relaying official announcements; the effect on payment terms has not been measured so far.
A quarter of companies with no platform named means as many clients the agency will have to ask before 1 September 2027. Better to ask at the front desk now.
