Startup Cleavr raises 8 million euros for an AI that chases late invoices
Founded in 2025, the French startup reports around a hundred customers in Europe. Its figures are the company's own, not an independent measurement.
According to La Revue du Digital (6 October 2026), Cleavr closed an 8 million euro round led by Varsity, six months after a one million pre-seed. Its platform identifies the right contacts when the invoice is issued, chases by email, phone or SMS, tracks payment promises and escalates disputes; "humans step in only when relevant".
Cleavr reports an average 37% cut in payment delay, 40% more cash and 80% of chasing time recovered by teams, across about a hundred customers in seven months. These are figures announced by the company. For a domiciliation network, chasing a rent or a service invoice is the same repetitive task, at a different scale.
For AppH
- An assistant can prepare a branch's payment reminders and answer routine questions about an invoice, using the branch's own rules.
- A person stays in control: the branch approves the wording and timing of reminders and takes over any dispute.
Against / the honest limit
- AppH is not a collections platform: no phone or SMS chasing, no ERP connection, no tracking of payment promises.
- The gains quoted are Cleavr's, from customers of all sizes; we have no measurement specific to domiciliation networks.
An AI that chases does not say who decides. The right setting is a message prepared fast and a person who keeps hold of the tone and the sensitive cases.
