Online business domiciliation: the advertised price shows neither the provider's prefectoral licence number nor the town that will set your local business tax

A comparison published on September 15, 2026 by Dynamique-Mag.com on entry-level online domiciliation offers in France points to two things missing from any price sheet: the prefectoral licence number every provider must hold (Article L123-11-3 of the Commercial Code, valid six years), and the taxing municipality that will determine the business owner's local business tax (CFE).

The article flags an obligation that's easy to check but easy to miss: every domiciliation company must be licensed by the prefect of the department where it's based (the police prefect in Paris), and that licence number must appear on the domiciliation contract. The second blind spot in the entry price: the chosen address fixes the municipality the CFE will depend on, with a rate and minimum base set locally — two addresses at the same monthly price can lead to very different amounts for the business owner.

For a multi-branch domiciliation network, these two facts come up constantly at the front desk: a prospect or client wants to verify the licence before signing, or wants to understand why their CFE differs from a peer domiciled elsewhere. These are factual answers, already written into the contract and the Commercial Code — exactly the kind of exchange the Pack Accueil can absorb at the counter or via QR, without ever standing in for the agent once the question leaves factual ground (a dispute, a CFE challenge).

For AppH

  • The prefectoral licence and the CFE municipality are two factual, recurring front-desk questions, documented by the contract itself: natural ground for an assistant that informs without ever deciding on the agency's behalf.
  • The article confirms, from trade press rather than from AppH, that price transparency alone isn't enough: an honest selling point for a network that wants to differentiate on the clarity of its answers, not its entry price.

Against / the honest limit

  • The article compares pure-play domiciliation offers (address + mail), not physical multi-branch networks with a staffed front desk like ABCLIV: the analogy to the Pack Accueil remains AppH's own extrapolation.
  • Checking a licence number or explaining a CFE rule is neither an identity check nor individualized tax advice: the assistant informs based on what the agency tells it, it doesn't replace an accountant or an AML/KYC control.

That a domiciliation entry price says nothing about the prefectoral licence or the CFE municipality confirms, from trade press rather than AppH, exactly what the Pack Accueil is built for: absorbing the recurring factual questions at the front desk, with a logged and consistent answer, without ever encroaching on what needs human judgment.
