Appointments and reminders: Vocca raises $20 million, 70% of conversations resolved without a human
An AI agent for medical practices announced a $20 million Series A on 6 October 2026. The figures come from the vendor, but the mechanism (confirm, move, remind) applies to a domiciliation branch too.
According to Brief IA, Vocca announced a $20 million round led by Norrsken VC on 6 October 2026. Its assistant answers patients, books and moves appointments, sends reminders and handles routine requests. The investor says it resolves on average 70% of conversations end to end without human intervention, over 85% at the most advanced customers, across 1,500 practices and more than a million inbound conversations a month.
The same mechanism exists at a domiciliation branch's front desk: confirming a mail-collection slot, reminding someone of a missing document before an appointment, warning of a renewal date. These are repetitive messages, easy to forget and tedious to chase by hand. Handing them to an assistant frees time for the cases that need judgement.
For AppH
- AppH can confirm a slot, remind people which documents to bring and relay a deadline, based on the rules the branch sets, on the web chat and the front-desk QR.
- A person stays in control: the branch approves the messages and the rules, and takes over as soon as a request goes beyond what was planned.
Against / the honest limit
- The 70% figures come from the vendor and its investor, not an independent benchmark; they concern healthcare, not domiciliation, and say nothing about the rate a branch would reach.
- Vocca works by voice and phone. AppH does no telephony: its scope is the web chat and QR front desk, and it verifies no identity.
Announcing a resolution rate is easy; what matters is knowing what the machine does not handle. A well-made reminder saves time, a decision stays human.
