Meta's Muse for small firms asks before it acts

On 29 September 2026, Meta unveiled Muse for Small Business, a version of its AI agent for small and mid-sized firms, available for now only in the United States and Canada. The agent sorts emails and appointments, analyses sales, prepares the monthly review and asks the owner's approval before acting. No date has been announced for France.

According to Blog du Modérateur, Muse connects to the company's Meta ads manager, Instagram account and Facebook page to learn its offer, its tone and “the questions customers regularly ask”, then to tools such as Slack, Notion, Asana, Canva, Figma or Dropbox. It is free with limits, then $20 or $100 a month. Launched in the United States on 8 September, the consumer app has reportedly passed 3 million downloads in North America, according to Sensor Tower. Meta sums up its promise in one line: “nothing is posted, sent or spent without your approval”.

For a network of domiciliation agencies (providers of registered business addresses in France), the value lies elsewhere than in sorting the director's inbox. The questions that keep coming back are asked at the front desk and on the website, by clients who want to know whether their mail has arrived, which documents to bring or how to get a certificate. A general-purpose agent wired to social media does not know, by default, each address's prices or the client's file; a front-desk assistant answers with the information the agency has approved and hands over to a person as soon as the request commits the client.

For AppH

  • Meta spells out the rule we apply: the agent proposes, a person approves before anything goes out. Human approval is becoming the norm for business agents, not a brake.
  • Muse first learns “the questions customers regularly ask”: even for Meta, a small business's first need is answering the same questions again and again.

Against / the honest limit

  • A free or $20-a-month agent will cover part of what a small firm needs; for a single agency with no front-desk traffic it may be enough, and our offer only makes sense from several agencies up.
  • We have not tested Muse, which is not available in France: the comparison rests on Meta's announcement and the article reporting it, not on real use.

A free agent that sorts emails and prepares the monthly review will find its place in many small businesses, and that is good news. It does not run a network's front desk. For a domiciliation agency, the question is not “which agent?” but “who answers, with what information, hosted where, and who takes over?”. Our answer: the information the agency has approved, hosted in France, and a person on your team as soon as the request commits the client.
